:look: Why don't we like it again? Cathy Howse doesn't like it, right? Is it okay for prepooing, but just not for everyday use? What's the deal?

Not natural, can suffocate hair and skin like a plastic.

I dont avoid it like the plauge like i use to though----i just stopped using it exclusivly on my hair & body with baby oil (cause it was cheap)

Some of the best stuff has mineral oil in it :ohwell:

I like mineral oil-
Alot of very good products have it and a beauty blogger called Afrobella at www.afrobella.com. writes about whether or not its bad for hair. I know that it is a cheap oil and allows the manufacturer to stretch the product. Ive never had a bad experience with it but I don't put it straight on my hair either. Read her blog and decide for yourself.
When buying product start to read the product ingredients- If mineral oil is listed in the top 3 ingredients it has a lot. The further on the list the less amount of the ingredient is in the product (in terms of ratio). If you wash your hair regularly I cant see a problem.

I try to avoid it the best possible way i can. I need my scalp to breathe and it's known to clog pores. Just last night i was reading an article that warns to stary away from it. If it works for anyone that's cool by me but i take warnings seriously.
