Is castor oil known to be a growth aide? Does it get your hair growing from the scalp. I know u have to retain length but does anyone know if it can speed it up or help any?

To answer your question yes. It is supposed to but mostly known for its thickening purposes. Search and lots if info should come up as well as some challenges you can look at to see progress.

Droid typing leads to typos for me

I don't consider it a growth aid. It suppose to make your actual her grow thicker. I guess that would make it a growth aid...

I just used it as a sealant when I used it *shrugs*. I thought the only difference between black castor oil and regular castor oil was that it had "ash" in it?

I don't consider it to be a growth aid. It does seem to help the new growth to be a bit softer and thicker. But that is just my experience with it and I have been using it regularly for over two years.

I use it every wash day. Don't consider it a growth aide at all. I think it softens the ng and ends nicely.

I consider it to be. On Hairlista a couple years back they were doing JBCO challenges. It didn't lead to drastic growth, but definitely aided in thickness. So it aids in growing thicker hair, growing out more than down. YouTube Sunshyne. She has videos up on it

I would say it proctect my ends nicely and makes my new growth soft. I think it helps to keep the hair you already have on your head.
