Is it wise to touch up your hairline with relaxer

I don't plan on getting a relaxer until late spring almost summer.....
Maybe late april..and my edges are puffy because i work out also my stylist doesn't really smooth the edges i noticed.

should i do this?
i understand the two textures thing but i think i will wait until im back puffy on the edges to get another relaxer if i do the touch up

Next month? You just need a good gel (or grease), hot water, and a brush. Straight old school.

Some people do it successfully. Go to the relaxed hair thread if you are really bent in doing it to get some advice.
