It's what I did at the TWA stage: tie up at night, spritz lightly in the morning, finger fluff and go. Curious what might be unsafe about it? Seems like one of those "do it if it works for you" things.
 
I have never done anything to my hair at night not when I was TWA or now. I think it depends on the hair my hair breaks more when it in bound by anything, I think its because I roll around while I sleep. I just leave it loose or in a loose bun that is gone by morning and its fine.
 
I'd say so. The TWA period won't last forever, so enjoy it while you can. The best part is such low maintenance.
 
That is all I do to mine. I do add castor oil mixed with vegtable oil as my hair soaks up the heavy oils and it protects my ends from the rolling I do off my satin pillow case.

My hair broke off more when I tied it up.
