Is it safe to take vitamins if you're on BC?

I am taking 4 different hair vitamins to encourage my hair growth and its seems to not have effects from me being on BC. I am going to check with my doctor soon just to be safe.

Yep, I've also heard that they deplete B vitamins - especially B6. If you don't supplement, expect to cry a lot - I've seen it happen to many a person.

I've been on BC pills for 3 years, and have taken biotin during that time and Centrum Multi. I take my other supplements now, and haven't had any problems, so I'd say its okay unless you have side effects.

P.S. When I was in the hospital, I had pneumonia in both lungs (hospitalized for 9 days). I was on 3 different antibiotics IV, and it was no where near time for my cycle, I was still taking my pills, yet I had major breakthru bleeding, because the antibiotics caused the pills to be ineffective. I stopped taking them 'til I was off the antibiotics, since they weren't working anyway. My doctor wasn't surprised, and neither was I, since I'm a Nursing student and knew this could happen. Yes, you can end up with a little bundle of joy! I didn't, though. :)
