for me to attain a curly style when I have relaxed hair?Without using heat or braidouts?
I am a 4b and my hair does not curl up or get waves at all when wet like I know 3s would.It airdries straight with a slight wave.
Does anyone know of any products and techniques I can use to achieve a curly look?
Have any type 4s been able to do this?

There are awesome testimonials regarding John Frieda Dream Curls. Do a search for it to upturn threads about similar products used by 4s to get ringlets.

Oh, they changed the search function.

Now you gotta use quotations
Ex. "john frieda dream curls"

or plus signs (+)
Ex. +john +frieda +dream +curls

I liked it better before it was changed.

I attempted a straw set, I put the straws in last night and let it airdry overnight, needless to say, it looked a hot mess. I CWC out this morning and blow dryed so that it would be presentable. Maybe I should try rods or something.

I haven't tried it yet.I will be in warm weather for Christmas and was planning to try it there.There's no way I am wearing my hair out in winter...lol

Solar Rollers give me crazy curls...I roll my dry hair at night and in the am, Voila!

karezone, i think it might have turned out better if you used heat to set the curls. did you use a setting lotion or something?
