Is it possible to scrunch relaxed hair?

I used SAMY Shape-in gel for waves when I used to wear my hair in a wet ponytail. The hair was never dry, hard, or crunchy. You can buy the gel from HSN.

You can also try the John Frieda line. He has a product called Ripple Effect, I think. It's designed to give relaxed hair waves and curls.

I've love to try the scrunching thing too

LorraineG does it beautifully, maybe you can PM her. She posted about highlights last week and had a pic of her scrunched relaxed hair, I'll see if I can find it and bump it. Super cute.

ii just found out the answer is yes. I just did a twist out until it was like semi dry and then scrunch with my fingers and it came out like natural curls

i didnt have much time. So when my hair was semi dry i started twisting. Then about 15-20 min later i started to blowdry the hair while it was still in those little balls on the top of my head. Then i took down the balls and left it in the twists and blew them alittle while scrunching. But my hair was still not dry enough so took them all down scrunched and blow dried. and voila

Whatever you do, do not buy the Fried Relax product that claims to help, I think it's called Ripple effect....anyhow, a bunch of crap!

I did what I'll call a modified scrunch last night, very similar to loveylocs. I washed and conditioned (nothing too special, just a midweek cleansing w/ QP poo and Intense cond.), put in my watery leave in (QP), a combo of Neutrogena TM Silk creme and QP Mango butter(that's mainly for the ends) and a drop of Hot 6 oil. Then I parted my hair into 4 section. Braided them up (didn't even put curlers on the ends) and threw on my silk bonnet, just to keep them from coming out. I slept on it for about 3 hours and when I woke up (yes, I only got 3 hours of sleep), I used the blow dryer on cool (that's important) to help set the style a bit, scrunching very gently as I went along. I have a loose wave that looks suprisingly good...waves like this usually turn into frizz in no time once dry, but not today.
Pardon my typos, 3 hours of sleep isn't good for the brain!
