Is it possible to reach goals without trimming??/Do we NEED to trim.....

Meh. I don't really bank too much on what Cathy Howse does. I mean, by her own admission it took her like 8 years to get from what, EL to MBL? I did that in a little over 2 years. So if anything *I* should be giving *her* hair advice.

Now that we got that out of the way, lol. I think it all depends on how you want your ends to look. I have done two massive S&Ds within this year. It took like a week because I DID have serious splits. But I refuse to just trim, I want to keep all of my length! So I went through strand by strand and trimmed off JUST the damaged parts. When you trim, you are losing length that has NO damage on it... which I flat out refuse to do.

I think S&Ds are sufficient. *If* you are a person who strongly prefers your hair be in a certain shape (V, U, blunt hem) then sure, trim. But if length is more important to you than that, skip the trim and stay up on your S&Ds.

:lachen:I totally agree about the Cathy Howse statement, I thought she'd be at waistlength by now. :look: You hit the nail on the head and said exactly what I was thinking. :yep: For me seeing is believing.
