I usually airdy my hair, but now it's getting cooler and I get sick when I airdry my hair when it's cold. So I was planning on using the cool shot on my blowdryer to dry my hair. What do ya'll think?

The cool shot is actually used to "set" the hair. If you are blowing hair and are curling it under, it holds the curl. However, I don't see that this can harm the hair, but may take longer to dry than the hot setting.

Sounds good to me. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I use the cool setting when I don't have enough time to air dry.

Webby's correct it is to set styles, but I've done something similar. It's just like air drying a bit faster. I used this method when I was on the no heat challenge if my air dry sets were a little damp in the AM. And I'm talking cool-shot button not the low heat setting, so it still took awhile. I can't imagine doing my whole wet head this way b/c you would have to blow the hair for a considerable amount of time just to get it to the damp stage. Maybe you can set your hair for a few hours and then use the cool shot to finish the drying process.
