Is it ok to wash daily with sulfate-free poo?

Hmmmm. That's a good question.

Sulfates are supposed to be drying for the hair. As long as you're washing with a moisturizing shampoo, it should be all right.

But, I'm still wrapping my head around this hair care stuff, so hopefully you'll get more responses.

I would advise against it. Even if it is sulfate free, it still has some type of surfactant in it whose main task is to cleanse the hair. Even if it is a gentle cleanser, your hair would maintain MORE of its moisture if you did not shampoo daily.

My two cents:

I do and have had no problems. However, my hair is DCed EVERY night 24/7 withou fail (My Cap N Go method, see fotki).

It actually helps me with growth as my scalp is always clean but my hair steam-conditioned ever 12 hours for 6 hours or more at a time like clock work.

So my benefits may be do to the combination, not just that my poos are ALWAYS SLS free.

I don't think so :nono: Even Sulfate free poo's are still to drying for my hair. BUT, it all comes down to whats right for your hair. I think there is a thread somewhere about some of us that poo everyday.
