Is it necessary to sit under the dryer for 30 mins to deep condition

I notice a big difference between sitting under for 10 minutes and sitting under for 30 minutes. I basically consider 10 minutes a waste of time. I might as well just rinse it off immediately. It has the same result. :perplexed For me, 20 minutes is the absolute minimum and 50+ minutes is ideal.

I just grab a good book, turn the closed caption on the TV, or use the laptop. The time flies by and my hair appreciates it so much more.

Thanks for the closed caption tip...I completely forgot I could do that with my tv. I sit under for a 30minutes or so as well.

ITA. But I grab my Hair journal:yep:

I prefer to do 30 minutes...but I havent compared it to a 15 minute conditioning treatment. Since its winter I dont mind the dryer as much, it keeps me warm:grin: But in the summer i just slap some conditioner in my hair and go outside and sit under the sun for a few minutes.

I never sit under the dryer to DC....too much trouble for me. I DC on dry hair covered with a plastic cap while I do stuff around the house. After 10 minutes or so, my body heat kicks in, so I leave the cap on for an additional 30 minutes, then rinse. This works very well for me.

Same here.

I LOVE doing this!
