I know most people's hair doesn't grow evenly all around, but do you have a side or a section that grows/doesn't grow as fast as the rest of your head?

The right side of my hair is always longer than the left. And the back in the middle is always the shortest. I'm thinking it's because I sleep on my back so the blood is not circulating as much there, which is why it's shorter - but I still don't get why the right side is longer??? :ohwell: It makes it hard to look even when you are trying not to cut your hair.

Anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Same here. My back grows faster that the crown and sides. I have a mullet at all times.

I used to cut it even but it always grows out the same way again so now I just leave it.

Crown and back grows like a weed but the front is so slow. And I'm the opposite of the OP my left side is always longer than the right and the left is the side I almost always sleep on :ohwell:

Thanks LadyD - I guess that's why the hairdressers just LOVE to cut and even it all out.

Hey Eclass first let me say hi to another Philly chick, Tioga/Nicetown here. But back to your question I don't know if anything will make it all grow in unison. I have noticed that since I've incorporated scalp massage, and essential/carrier oils and got away from hair grease my hair is responding alot better. Not to mention the cowashing and vitamin supplements and MT.

my left side grows slow. my right side is SL and my left side is like an inch from SL lol but it doesn't realy show that much anymore cause my hair is getting thicker but i can notice it all the time.

See, and that's what confused me too. If I'm not sleeping on my back, I'm sleeping on my right side - which is the longer side! So there goes my "blood circulation" theory! :perplexed

Heeey! *G-town girl here*

Yeah, maybe I'll try to massage my scalp before bed or during the day or something. I just ordered MT so we'll see how that goes!

One eye is larger than the other, one leg longer than the other, one breast is larger than the other.

The right and left sides of are bodies are controlled by different parts of the brain. Makes sense to me that one side of my hair grows longer, has more "A" type hair than "B" type har and is easier to manage. Science.

I have the same issue..and I would venture to say that not many peoples hair grows the same all over their head.
Cutting does not solve the issue because your hair WILL grow the same way eventually and then what? Cut again?

My nappy hair (hooray for shrinkage!!) hides this "flaw" that i'm sure is obvious to me only anyway :yep: I'm just gonna let the mullet morph into whatever it's supposed to morph into.
