Your hair shouldn't be falling out. If I were you I would shampoo with neutralizing shampoo again. Then search for threads that discuss post relaxer breakage/shedding.

Here are some great home relaxing tips. Read through it and see if you did anything wrong.

Your hair should never be falling out under any circumstances - even if you didn't put a thing on it.

Home relaxing can be done, but it's very easy to damage your hair relaxing yourself if your don't know what you are doing. I would seek professional assistance.

Your hair should not fall out after relaxing it. Accidentally overlapping the relaxer beyond newgrowth onto previously relaxed hair and missing a spot when rinsing the relaxer out can cause breakage. It's highly recommended to have someone help you when doing at - home relaxers to ensure that all of the relaxer is washed out and that you don't overlap since it's difficult to see the back of your own head. I agree that neutralizing again should help to stop breakage in its tracks. Maybe a friend or family member can help you next time if you don't want to go to a salon.

Hair should not be falling out - that's always a warning.

Besides the above suggestions, basing the scalp is also important - some people experience hair loss from the chemical burns and scalp damage. Also, doing a protein treatment a few days before relaxing gives your hair more strength. And I'll emphasize to make sure you use the neutralizing shampoo and make sure all of the relaxer is out.

In addition to the above, if you are still having this issue after seeing a professional, LICENSED, stylist, you could be allergic to the relaxer ingredients. Your hair may also be too weak to handle the relaxer being used.
