why is my title not bold on this thread.

Whatchu talkin' 'bout Willis? Your title is bold, or was that a slick way of bumping the thread? :giggle:

Interesting website but that method of making locs looks like a lot of work! I think I'd do the twist or braid method instead if I wanted to loc. Thanks for posting.

Yes I saw that vid a while back when I was thinking about looks before I ended my transition. They got like a lot of hate mail from people pissed that they were doing dreads.

Sorry about the long response but i had to go see about my mom who is disabled. i could not believe that process of doing dreads.

this is a technique used for like 1-2 hair types. It takes more to keep their hair from slipping out of dreads so they do all of that to rough it up to help it stay together.

This is actually the method that I used for my locs when I was in high school. I didn't want to cut off my relaxed ends. Girl, you bringin back memories:rolleyes:

I wouldn't recommend purchasing the knotty boy wax...it takes forever to melt in, especially in the winter. They have cheap black beeswax at almost every beauty supply that works like a charm in the beginning.

No wonder people think real dreadlocks are dirty/nasty. With all the wax and gunk she used, that dudes head has no choice but to be dirty and sticky. Blech!
