Mine is. I finally got my regimen and products down to a minimum, it's so simple for me now, I could do it with my eyes closed. My cowash is part of my shower. Moisturizing is like washing my face. I've been cruising the other boards lately ..

All I have to do now is sit back and relax.

Is anyone else like this?

ETA: If it is, would you mind posting your reggie?

I just have a few set backs here and there. Like right now my new growth is killing me, but for the most part my hair is just doing its on thing. Just cowash every 3 days moisturize at night seal with olive oil bun it up or rollerset and out the door. And that's all folks....if I could jsut get over my new growth problems I would be fine

Mine is, for once

I wash daily with ovation cell therapy shampoo.
I then condition for 30-45 minutes while I watch TV or workout.
I rinse, apply a little leave in, massage my scalp with ovation cell therapy, and wet bun.

At night, I massage a little coconut oil with peppermint EO into my scalp before bed.

Same here! I can do my hair with my eyes closed, sometimes the effortlessness (? :lachen:) scares me, but my hair is strong and healthy, so I'm not changing a thing:grin:

Now it is. I don't know if it's because it's hot and I don't want to be bothered, or if I finally just figured it out.

I'll cowash at night. Put it in a low braid or twist, or a few braids for a braid out, and go to bed.

I'll DC 2x/week whenever I feel like it. Moisturize before bed and during the day whenever I feel like it.

prepoo, poo, dc, rollerset weekly
moisturize/seal during the week as needed
The past few weeks have toyed with airdrying in 2 twists and wearing a twistout.

All of you ladies have such gorgeous hair, too.:yep:

It is a new feeling that I'm getting used to .. being able to relax.

I think it was Sistaslick who said that it would take about a year to get a solid regimen .. and I remember thinking that was too long and I'd get it sooner, and I jumped from regimen to regimen, from weaves to braids, from rollersetting to cowashing, from airdrying to flatironing. And finally I'm back to cowashes and rollersets. I'm so hardheaded.

And I found this board in July 07 ... so she was right-- it took about 8 months.

Anyone else?

it really has been for the past week although my flat ironed hair required even less maintenance. all i have been doing since i joined bootcamp is cowashing, leaving in my conditioner, putting on some of my shea butter/EVOO mix and putting it in a ponytail/bun. add my satin scarf and go to sleep. twice a week i throw in a DC. sometimes i even take the extra effort to smooth down my edges...oooh fancy! lol forgive me i'm dumb.

:lachen: You sound just like me, edges and all! except the mix .. I just use oil. I only DC once weekly .. But wow! Well, its def. workin for ya, great progress in your siggy!

I feel like it finally is- and it took a year:look:......

For me the body took over the hair. Once I commited to workout at least every other day, I SWEAT, I don't perspire. And there is no way, I could even think about leaving that salt in my hair.

Sooooo, I have embraced cowashing!

I Co wash every other day (cardio days), with VO5 or Trader Joe's Nourish Spa. Then I put some DC on while I am in the shower. I use poo once a week and DC with heat once a week.

After the Cowash, I apply Ovation Cell Therapy on my scalp only, put on Cantu Repair Creme( my new love). I then seal in the moisture with Sabino Moisture Block, put on a doo rag, and get under my bonnet dryer for 30 min on low.
At this point my hair is a little damp still- but I am good to go. I then french braid my hair and that's it for the night.

I said all that to say, I cowash every other day, and shampoo DC once a week:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

Mine was until it started acting all pissy because of the hot weather. However, I think with the added weekly co-wash and using jessicurl too shea as a leave-in I may be back on track!!!

Absolutely and ITA w/LadyKaypnyc - everything has become quite routine and super easy. i'm at the point where it feels like i'm missing "something" but i'm not ;).

You know Lynnie B, I feel the same way. Since I've discovered braids, I'm able to keep my hair in a style 1-2 weeks, which stopped me from retwisting every 3 days and using less products.

Here's what I use: Shampoo, Conditioner, Shealoe *shea butter, coconut oil & aloe vera gel* or Castor Oil.

I shampoo mainly concentrating on the scalp. If my hair is loose, I detangle with the conditioner, then I let it sit for 3-5 minutes and rinse. Since I'm wearing braids, I shampoo and condition without taking down the braids. If I'm using castor oil, I apply it to wet hair. If I'm applying shealoe, then I may towel dry a little, then apply. Next, I braid or twist adding a little more oil or shealoe to the ends. That's as far as my reggie goes :drunk:.

Good to see so many ladies aren't having a hard time ..

And to those that arent quite sure .. you'll get there soon enough.:yep:
