I don't do the mixed thing, but whenever I see a person IRL with exceptionally long and/or healthy hair, I wonder if she is a member of LHCF. Do you do this too?
 
I do it too! Sometimes I just want to pull them aside and try to talk hair, but I never do, I'm too chicken.
 
I always want to, but then usually back out . . . unless I *know* that person lives near me or is in town for some reason (like when I met my Big Sis, EnvyBeauty :D)
 
Yes, and but I've never asked them for some reason.

But I have met and talked to people who were members of Nappturality, because both times I caught them looking at my hair while I was gawking at theirs' :lol: so I may was well start a convo.
 
I didn't used to do it but when I was at the Circle of Sisters in NYC, I saw about 2 ladies with beautiful hair and I was curious.

I know alot of ladies on the board live in NYC, so I am always wondering now.
 
LOL! Yes!! I often post on this other site and one day some girl mentioned LHCF and I was surprised that she posted there too! And now when I see people on the street I do wonder....but I'll never ask. :look:
 
Yes! There's a girl in my class that I've wanted to ask for a while. Such shiny, healthy hair that looks like she may have henna'd it. She also does the "protective bun" thing. That seemed to be a shoo in.
 
Oh yes. This girl in one of my classes seems like she is BIG on the protective styling. She had braids one week, buns the next, i have never seen her real hair. I just to ask her, are you Niko's cousin? But i never do cause i don't want her looking at me like, huh?

This other girl at my school has near WSL hair that is to die for and i wonder if she is a member too.
 
yes I do wonder but never ask when I see someone. Prior to my discovery of LHCF, I had a coworker that went from neck length to midback in like 2 yrs. I remember asking her what she did and she said "oh just keeping the heat off, regular trims and getting treatments." She always wore rollersets. So thinking back on it I wonder if she was a member here. But is is kinda hard to explain to people what your reggie is if they are not in the "know."

No, but I try to figure out if she's Latina (Dominicana or Panamanian), LOL. Seriously though, I just look and stare intermittently to try to see if she has tracks (I'm nosy!...lol).
 
I try not to seem forword but when I see some one who may take me serious
I tell them I do hair. I will give advise if the ask.
 
I wonder all the time! I'm afraid to ask though and have them look at me like "Who is this crazy chick asking me about LHCF? Wtf if LHCF?" But I always wonder...
 
i always wanna know if they are a cousin, but like most of you, i am not that bold. but then again, if you say something like, hey u look familiar. do you know a niko? then that may be more of a reasonable way to approach someone. lol. so if i build up enough nerve to ask someone, it will be something like that.
ETA: but then again, a lot of ppl on this board may not even know about "niko's cousin".
 
Yep, or when I go to jump on some hot product that I thought was on the low-low (like at random local Indian grocers) and its ALL GONE!!! I'm always like, "Yeah, it was those chicks at LHCF. They gon' pay what they owe!" :clubu:

Then again... I've BEEN "that *****" too :blush:
 
All the time! Those AA ladies that come in my job with long relaxed/pressed hair or full thick 'fros/curly hair must think I'm a true ***** when I stare at them with wide-eyed wonderment :lachen:. Every part of me wants to be like *in loud obnoxious voice* "Hey girl! Yeah you with all that herr! Ain't you on Long Hair Care Forum?...Um, I mean are you Niko's cousin?" :grin: I just wonder sometimes, lol.
 
Yeah, I have started doing this. Another thing I've noticed is when I see girls/ladies with very short/damaged hair-especially these little teeny boppers-I want to pull them to the side and school them on hair care and give them this web site address. It's getting really bad and I know one day it's gonna happen...I just hope it doesn't get my a$$ kicked!:nono:

I just get tired of seeing people like that. Other races have nice hair/take care of it and we all should too.
 
omg i saw this lady at work today who had beautiful hair almost BSL. And I just thought what if she is on LHCF, She probably is, or is maybe a lurker, lol
