I am interested in weaving the back of my hair and crocheting the front o avoid heat damage. The hair that I will be using will be wavy... So tell me, is a natural hairline possible with crochet braiding? Thanks for your help!

Please post pics or YouTube examples that you know of, because I will be doing my hair on my own.

Sorry but I can't picture that style. It sounds like a hot mess. Can YOU post pics of what you're trying to do? Why not weave or crochet the whole head? That would leave non of your hair out to have heat damage.

Oh ok. Well how would you blend the 2 textures? Unless you were going to cut the hair from the weft and crochet it?

The weave will be wavy as well as the hair that I plan to crochet with. I've seen YouTube videos with single braided crochets and well ad wavy hair, I am just concerned aboutthe hairline because none of the examples I have seen have decent looking hairlines. Was Hoping someone in this forum would know of some advanced techniques.

I like these two videos. They have a sew in in the back and crochet in the front, but they don't show step by step. Also, I don't know if you're natural, but when I take out my sew in, I plan to leave out an inch of hair at the front and wear a headband with some crochet braids. However, these videos have a natural looking hairline to me...without the use of a headband.

This can definitely be done http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRGRM87H4JM
In some cases a crochet weave/braid looks more natural than the weave for hairlines. When I had my crochet weave in that I installed myself it was gentle on my edges.

edit: Just realised this is from 2011...oops
