Is a baby brush soft enough?

I want to use a brush again, but I don't want to rip my hard-earned, thicker healthier hair with the normal brush; I went to buy one of those soft, nice brushes everybody on here loves, but it is at least $7 more than what I can afford. So, I'm in Target, shopping :shopping:(pronounced "Tar-jay") and I'm in the hair aisle, where I see the brushes, I go over to the baby aisle (for the multi-purpose wipes...try to front like you'ont know) and see their little cute brushes and I'm thinking, "Hmm...I wonder if those baby brushes will work just as well:scratchch". But before I go purchase it, I was wondering if any of you think is okay, and if not, which moderately-priced (Read: cheap:twocents:) brushes have you found?:prettyplease:

I tried using a baby brush just to catch the she hairs. I'm natural so that's a problem for me, the shed hairs make knots and get caught in my hair. My ends started to feel funny so I stopped using it.

I have a really soft boar bristle brush and Im pretty sure it only cost a few bucks....just shop around and Im sure u can find one. Target is a little pricey for brushes. I saw the same brush I paid $2 for at big lots for more than $10 at target.

I've never stepped one foot inside a Big Lots...and I know where one is, I'll look for a good one when I'm out.
