Is 410 degrees?

Too hot of a temp. for flat ironing? I have been thinking about upping my temp on my SEDU... Your thoughts?

Hmmm Im relaxed and I do it at 395. 410 is not too far off but I don't like flat ironing at 410 simply because my hair looks limp and ugly when I do it 410. There is no body to the hair what so ever. I find at 395 my hair is straight but has lasting body (even when wrapping).

Now about temp and damage, thats all relative. If you know your hair cannot take it, don't do it!

I can't go much higher than 325 on new growth. I basically stay at 300, but I don't use heat much, at all. I have a Solia.

I use 370 max. 300 if i'm only doing my bangs or something.

I think the only way to know is to try it on your hair.... Never let the iron just sit just sorta swipe it like your Platinum card.

I can do mine at 210 so I think 410 would fry my hair to ash!

410 - I used that setting when I was natural. I have a hairart iron and I put it through each section one time only and I flatironed only once per week. Got it straight like a relaxer. Never had any problems until I started bunning and put in highlights. If you're relaxed, that may be a bit much. Have you tried a lower temp? Maybe you could try a lower temp first to see what the lowest temp is that you can use and have it look good....
