Interview Question

Depends on the job. If it's in the art dept or marketing then maybe. Other than that a nice age apropriate bun might work best. Buns don't have to be boring, they just need to be neat.

I interviewed for many jobs with natural hair. With all lengths of natural hair. When I had it at a medium style I interviewed with it pulled back kinda like a puff.

Never all out. Definitely off the face and pulled back in some way.

I have to admit I work as a counselor/human services not really corporate america. But I got most of the jobs I interviewed for (that I wanted) :)

I would say wear it in whatever way you feel most comfortable and confident. Your resume, personality and giftings should be more important than whatever style you choose to wear. You definately don't want to have a style so over the top that it distacts your interviewer (like a mohawk!) but I think wearing a beautiful braid-out half-up half-down, pulled back into a ponytail or even loose is acceptable. The important thing is that the hair style allows you to feel pretty and confident enough to put forth your best side.

Good luck, hope you get the job if you like it! :yep:

That's right, do whatever you feel most comfortable. Braid outs are beautiful. Try not to do anything to distracting so the person is focusing more on your hair then you! Good luck!

I'm going to say that a braid out would be fine for an interview, just as long as it looks neat and not sloppy. If your curls are defined and it looks soft and moisturized, rock your braid out girl! I would!

I've had an interview with a twist out and a twa and both went well. So I would say yes, people like orginality.

Are you able to still have a braid out but....twits it up from the nape going upward like a semi french roll and place in pins...

Good luck on ur interview! I agree, a braid-out w/the front neatly pinned back and the back down would look fab!

Well I got there yesterday all pretty with my braid out and the lady I was supposed to interview wasn't there. So I'm going back today this time I'm wearing puff my pulled back.

Read Selah's thread....tis all I am saying.

I would guess that Accounting is the sort of field where someone who is neat and methodical is valued.

disclaimer: I have no opinion on this topic. I LOVE natural hair and am transitioning myself.
