I saw this infomercial this morning as well...those bristles are suspect though...I highly doubt that they are soft 100% boar bristles. They look like hard plastic which would tear through my cuticle :look:

I was going to post a question about this after seeing the infomercial this morning. It looks interesting, but I'm scared of the damage it could cause because of the heat.

BUMP....

It's an interesting concept but, I can just see my naps getting mangled up like crazy in there.

lovenharmony: Their website says the bristles are nylon.

I don't appreciate this informercial........

transforms "the coursiest, frizzy mess" (a picture of a black girl...) into a smooth and silky masterpiece.......... Really!:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

I had alot of questions but this can blow right out the window! My Maxiglide works just fine!!thank you very much

Personally I am sick and tired of Advertisements that try to convience us there is something not right with the way God Made us.

If I choose to straighten my hair it will not be becaus I consider my Hair a "course frizzy mess"

What's wrong with saying it can transform your naturally curly hair to a straight style.

Instyler can keep that crap they are not getting my money, I perferr my "course frizzy mess" to that crap:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Well I did it I sent them a letter of Complaint, they may not care b/c cause I am not a customer, but hey at least I said something

I am sure this email will not reach anyone of great importance with in this company
but I have decided it's better to say something than nothing at all.

I have seen bits and pieces of your infomercial for about a month or so now. I have looked at the Instyler and thought, I wonder if it would work on my hair. It might be nice to change my style now and then.

However, today when the commercial aired I heard something that turned my stomach from ever wanting to purchase this product. Your announcer said "transform the coarsest, frizzy mess" then you post the photo of an African American Model.

Well I am African American, I wear my hair natural proudly, and my hair is not a "course frizzy mess"
And it does not require transformation "into a smooth and silky masterpiece"

My hair is the way God intended therefore, it is a masterpiece!

I belong to several web sites dedicated to woman celebrating their natural hair. I fully intend to get the word out that your company thinks our hair is a "mess" that requires "transformation"

The only thing that needs transformation is your racist ad campaign

good day

Cosign! How dare they?!

Sad to say that this mentality that natural hair is bad hair has been a thorn in the flesh of a lot of us. This company is just using that phrase to cash in on what a lot of people think.:ohwell: It is unfortunate, but it is what the media perpetrates.

Seriously! Why not say "ladies, now you can wear your hair straight without changing your natural texture?" Too much like right.

However, the standing notion is that curly hair is a mess. So they are just going with the flow.

I'm relaxed about 4a/4b.
I bought the Instyler a month ago.
The bristles were very soft (as soft as the bristles on a soft boar bristle brush).
I’m sorry to say that the Instyler did not straighten my hair One Bit!
The problem is the brush does not come close enough to the cylinder & there’s no way you can squeeze the brush any closer to the cylinder. Plus the cylinder is just a big piece of rotating metal (no ceramic or tourmaline).
It’s nothing like the infomercial that’s for sure.
Anyways I sent it back, so ladies please don’t waste your money!

Thank you! My mom woke me up early in the morning, having to have this. I looked for any reviews I could find and was happy to talk her out of it. Anytime they offer you two of something, I kind of figure its crap anyway lol.
