I just put my hair in one or two single braids(plaits not cornows) and tuck them under at the nape.
I didnt used to like mine bc I thought it was screaming "WIG" ...lol, but I cut it a little and it looks much like my own hair when its been done at the salon. noone knew the difference till I told them.
I think Im gonna wear this a lot alternating with phony ponies for most of the fall so I will stay out of my hair for a while.

To the ladies that wear or have worn the instant weaves--what do you do with your real hair underneath? Cornrow or ponytail?

I keep my hair cornrowed.... I just added some more wig photos to my album as I'm waiting it out before putting my braids back in and I am more than 4 months post relaxer. My hair has been in these cornrows for about 2 weeks. I washed, conditioned and steamed it with no problems. Once it's lubed up, it's OK. Don't forget to wear that wig cap to keep the wig from rubbing on your fragile hairline.

I wear a very low ponytail and use the baggie techniquie.
Oh, I forgot about your pics Diva. Tell me again which one you had with the head band? Did it come with the head band? I think it was separate right? And you wore the wig cap underneath? I'm thiking of getting the HZ8000 model...it's human hair so I'm hoping it'll look less "wig-ish"
I have a question though....do I still need to wear a wig cap for an instant weave? It's not exactly worn on the hairline. It's worn further back.
its like 1/2 or 3/4 of a wig or what some call a "fall". u part your hair from ear to ear in the front and leave that part out, then attach the hair at the top of your head and the nape of your neck(it has combs)..then u blend the hair in the front in with the other hair.

That one is HZ7006. It doesn't come with a headband. I added that one myself as my hair isn't colored... I personally wear my wig cap even with my falls, as I tend to wear them closer to my hairline....
I LOVE Quick weave, instant weaves and 3/4 cap wigs. Whenever I sport one My hair is in a few cornrows going back. Here are some pics. The first 3 are intant weave (I don't remember which stlye #'s and the 4th is a sew in weave)

Girl, fuget 'bout the Quickweave, look at that body!
Faith, they are synthetic. The weave is human. I am pretty sure the first one was Sensationnel, the 2nd and 3rd, I don't know. I have bought so many different brands. In Sensationnel I usually go for HZ7000 and HZ9100. Outre (Quice Weave) I get Ayana. Modu (the brand of weave hair in that photo) makes one called Dixie I like. Like I said, I LOVE these. I am sporting a weave right now. Only thing I don't like about the instants is taking my hair off at night. It doesn't bother my (live in) boyfriend, but I just don't feel sexy. Not that my do rag is sexy anyway ytou slice it. LOL.
One more question. Does it lie down smooth and flat on your head? I know I had the curly one and it was hard to get a headband on it. The front was sort of raised.
It lays pretty flat. I leave some of mine out in the front to blend over it. I've never worn head bands with them. I have wrapped a scarf around as one. It works pretyt well. Oh yeah, I also wore a wig cap under mine to protect my hair from rubbing.
