Hello eveyone, this is information about hair that i found in the M.A.C guide:

Water/Moisture level
Healthy hair + Heat = Stiff hair
Healthy hair + Too much heat = Dull hair (loss of moisture)

The solution to dull hair is:
dull hair + humectants = shiny, glossy hair
caution: if too much humectant is used, hair may become limp and flat
humectants: panthenol, vegetable glycerine,sorbitol...

Emollient level
Healthy hair + Deep cleansing and/or alkaline products = Flyaway hair
The solution to brittle, coarse and flyaway hair is:
Brittle, coarse flyaway + emollients = Smooth, flexible hair
caution: if too much emollient is used, hair may become heavy
Emollients: Shea butter, wheat germ, olive and walnut oils. Vegetable oils

Thickness/Density
Healthy hair + alkaline solutions = weak hair
(colours, perms, etc)
the solution to weak hair is:
weak hair + protein and/or polymer = strong hair with lots of body
caution: if too much protein is used repeatedly, breakage or splits ends will result.
Proteins: wheat, wheat germ, soy protein, egg..

You surely already know all this things but in this form it can help.
