Hey Ladies,

I was doing some research to find out what effect MSM has on the female body.....well I really didn't find anything specific to that topic but I did find that MSM is a natural blood thinner and it relaxes our muscles......so for those of you like me, who are experiening better cycles, meaning less cramps and easier or shorter flows...this may be why.

Maybe useless info but I thought I'd share....

that is useful and interesting. Not only am I experiencing boobs like a 16 year old which is darn right sexy for a woman my age with kids but I did go through my cycle which was 3 days instead of 4 and very very very light.

Wow! This is good to know. I should be doubled over in pain right now(PMSing) but I feel great, my last three cycles have been!! I've been using MSM since May. Now I know why my cycles are so much better.

Here's what I've found about MSM:

MSM reduces headaches, cramps and muscle pain caused by hormonal imbalances, for example, PMS.
Women who have had monthly menstruation problems often no longer experience the headaches, cramps or muscle plain associated with their periods. Many women have these problems because their hormones are out of balance. The monthly cycle can be a shock to the system. When the hormones are brought into balance, the body functions normally and these painful problems can be vastly reduced or eliminated.

Ok now i am really iffy about taking this. I have read alot of posts about lighter periods. I am wondering how that would affect a woman if she were to get pregnant or would it even make it harder to get pregnant. You need a certain amount of uterine(sp?) lining for an egg to implant into. I am wondering if taking MSM would make it too thin and make it harder to get pregnant or result in an early miscarriage due to the egg not implanting totally.:perplexed

I have to ask my doctor about taking this also. I dont want it to mess with the birth control i am on. I really want to try it for my aching knees, but if i ever want to try to have another child i think i may stop taking it for awhile before trying.

The information I've read about MSM says you SHOULD NOT take it if you are trying to get pregnant. So ladies, be warned.

OKay ladies i know what brand of Msm are you guys using and where did you get it from???

I'm using the brand 'Now' and I order through the ebay store: Organic-pharmacy. HTH:)

Oh yea, its the powder form....

Has anyone had an issue with MSM making your cycles come too close together? I was taking both MSM and Biotin and one of these was making my cycles come bi-monthly. Not to mention they were much heavier and longer (eight days)! Please help!!!

See, this would freak me out! I started taking MSM months ago, but after I read about some issues on this board, I decided to stop. Having extra periods a year isn't good for us--too much estrogen exposure, which can up your breast (and other reproductive) cancer risks.

Long hair isn't worth my health so I stopped... :perplexed

I stopped taking both items as well once I read what others wrote on the forum about the same issue and connected the two, but now I am shedding hair like crazy. I wonder if the two are related (hormone imbalance), or is it seasonal loss (somehow I don't remember loosing hair like this last year at the time). I have started using MTG again to see if it helps any. I am also tempted to do an Aphoghee (the stinky one) treatment today since my hair has also been extremely dry. I've experienced no breakage only excessive shedding. Any thoughts ladies???

P.S. I forgot to mention that my hair got a lot thicker while using the Biotin and MSM, so maybe I am losing the progress made possible by these products? Just a thought!
