I've wondered the same thing. And when I see this, it makes me quickly turn the bottles/boxes around to find the expiration date. Surprisingly (sarcasm), I never see the dates on the products. However, I've been lucky in purchases because the products work well on my hair.
The stores in my area are dusty OVERALL, not just the products. So maybe it's simply "poor housekeeping."
I guess you are right but the store i got to the products are on the bottom shelf and i get the creeped out digging for them, so i usually spend $25 so i won't have to go back often but the $1.99 prices are a joy.
the products ( powders) are dusty in themselves... never ind most of these products are made in other countries....between whats in the boxes & the processes they go to get the shelves, explains enough of the dustiness to me
The stores are full of spices and powders generally. Besides, they don't necessarily do the pretty packing we're used to w/ Western products (that's partly how they're so cheap). Those products have a high turnover tho. Hardly nothing's just sitting around for long.
