Unbothered
Hola! So recently I've been getting requests from a lot of clients for BKT. Due to health reasons I wasn't really with it until recently when someone brought this product to my attention: Keragreen Organic Keratin. I've been doing some research but most reviews come from people that seem to be sponsored by them and I'd like some independent reviews. Has anyone heard of this?

This one is in spanish but you get the idea.

If it's truly organic I think it would be an awesome alternative. The lady in the second video had nice results.

Be careful but overly-hyped products with no real evidence to hype their claims. BKT formulations are basically a conditioning lotion with added keratin (and sometimes collagen), a small amount of silicones, sometimes glyceryn, but importantly, they containf an aldehyde (usually formaldehyde) which is the true active ingredient. So most BKT solutions have some form of aldehyde, even some so-called "formaldehyde free" have a very small amount present (they can legally claim formaldehyde free status if the concentration is below a certain percentage). Do you have a list of ingredients for this product?

The claims or "organic" are highly suspicious. Organic what? keratin? formaldehyde?

I do my own treatments with a regular (formaldehyde) formula and I don't worry too much because I make sure I do it in a well ventilated area and also, I dont do it frequently. But as a hair stylist, if you're going to do BKTs in an occupational setting I would be mostly concerned with getting a good extraction/ventilation system to minimize your exposure.

Thanks. Yea we haven't gotten down with any BKT's thus far due to the fumes and health risks. SO far this is all I could get as far as ingredients.

As you can imagine everything is very vague. On the site I see "active components" but no explanation past that. If this was really organic I think that would be so cool. I thought it was really interesting to see the dude in one of the vids do it without gloves or a mask to prove how safe it was.
