Does anyone have recommendations of relaxers I can use to texturize my hair with? It's going down...August 27, 2005. I'm ready... I just have to choose a relaxer to use. Lmao!

I just used african pride texturixer for mutli-lengths and it worked great..try that. I got it from walmart...

Motions Salon Herbals is good! I just used it. It makes your hair nice and silky and gives it lots of body.

I use Designer Touch texturizing relaxer/S curl texturizer/ Motions texturizer. They all worked great but I prefer to use Designer Touch or Scurl. I hope all goes well with the process. Good luck!!!:)

Thanx everyone. I'm going to do a search on the internet and find out more about each. Oh and thanx classyebony, I was thinking about using the s-curl. My friend was saying I should use that considering it is my first texturizer so I should just go ahead and use that one. I think that's the only one that is made with lye. I don't know much about Designer's Touch. Is that sold in the bss?

I use Mizani regular. I love the results. It's not as drying as other relaxers I've used. :)

I agree with Classyebony, both S-curl and Designer Touch worked great. I used S-curl for my first texturizer and Designer Touch for my touch up. Designer Touch Texturizer is also made with lye. I was unable to locate Designer Touch at the bss, I ordered it online. Good Luck!

I totally agree with ClassyEbonyGirl. I have been using Designer Touch texturizer (reg. strength) for 4 years. The product gives wonderful results. Very professional looking curls/waves, I might add. I have tried Soft & Beautiful and had good results also but I am stuck on Designer Touch.

Hope this helps.

I currently use Motions Oil Moisturizer Relaxer to texturize, but I saw the Salon Herbals and thought about switching. Does the Motions Salon Herbals contain lye?

Hey precious,
I have a question for you. Do you use the post perm treatment when you texturize your hair? It says that it's a protein treatment, and if so then it wouldn't be necessary for me to follow up with my aphogee treatment the week after. Just curious.

I do use the Post-Treatment also. I usually don't do another protien treatment for a couple of weeks after the texturizer is applied, although I do wash my hair quite often in between my deep treatments. I hope this helps you in you decision making Millah03.

I am sorry, I left out one important detail. After I use the Post-Treatment and then the Neutralizing shampoo, I do an extra deep conditioning treatment. That's why I don't deep condition again for two weeks.
