MN is the short term for Monistat 7 cream. I forgot the prescprition drug name for it. MN have been known to accelerate hair growth.
I know it sounds weird but it works. My third picture in my siggy is attribruted from MN.

Re: I'm sorry, I'm slow, but...Part II

What is Tex Lax? Is it only for naturals? How is it done?

Is Con and Co Wash the same?

When you do a "rinse" what does that mean? What's the benefit?

Maybe there is a link that descibes all these code words.

:drowning: in acronyms. Please :help2: the :newbie:

What is Tex Lax? Is it only for naturals? How is it done? Texlax is to texturize the hair. To relax it lightly, not bone straight, only enough to loosen the hair, while maintaining some texture.

Is Con and Co Wash the same?
CON is short for Creme of Nature.
Co-Wash = conditioner wash = to wash only with conditioner, it is for those who want to stay away from the stripping effects of shampoo. It still cleanses the hair, but does not leave it dry and stripped.

When you do a "rinse" what does that mean? What's the benefit?
Dominican rinses are used either before or after shampooing. Only leave it in for a few minutes, it helps detangle hair and gives hair great slip.

There are other types of rinses, such as oil rinses.

There is a sticky that should have all of these acronyms.

Tex Lax is when you don't relax the hair bone straight and let the relaxer process for a shorter amount of time.

Is Con and Co Wash the same?

No, CON is Cream of Nature and Co Wash is washing the hair with conditioner rather then using shampoo.

Are you talking about oil rinses, color rinses or apple cider vinegar rinses or cold water rinses? Oil rinses help wih detangling, soft and mangeable hair. Color rinse just add color. Apple Cide Vinegar Rinses give hair that shine/gloss, soft and lowers the hairs ph (I think from what I remember). Cold water rinse are used to seal the hair cuticle and the result is flat smooth hair strands.

MN is short for Miconazole Nitrate. It can be found in Monistat (or other generic brands) as well as Neosporin AF(antifungal)- I think there's one for athletes foot & one for Jock itch- yea sounds gross i know... but it seems to really work for sum ladies!
