I have been on this forum for five years now, and I had read the raves/rants about Salerm 21 and Wheat Germ Mask. I decided not to try it, because I was becoming a PJ. In August, I went to CT, and a local BSS had Salerm. I had a little money to spare, so I was like "Why not?" I just tried the Mask and the leave in tonight. My hair felt like I had a fresh relaxer. It was so soft and slippery. Mind you, my hair is mainly 4b, and most conditioners don't have this effect on my hair. I did a braid-out, so I'll see the results tomorrow morning.

How many of you have seen something raved about here and tried it years/months later?

I've been wanting to try Salerm for years too at the the beginning of my journey it was btwn them and Nexxus.

I have been a member of this forum for years and I have yet to try it out. I wish they sold dominican products in my area.

Its great! I didn't get it earlier also because I didn't want to feed my PJism. Well the lady at the salon recommended salerm 21 to my mom and I used it.. it was great. Had to buy it next week or so. I usually use it for braid outs because they make them come out fantastic!

I'm sure they do somewhere. I am in Alabama, and I have found a BSS here that sells a limited amount of Dominican and Brazilian products. It doesn't sell Italian products, but I was surprised it sold the D and B products.

Mango,

Where in Alabama did you find the Dominican products? I live in a state that borders Alabama.

Salerm 21 is a great leave-in, especially for rollersets. I slept on it for a long time too.

Wheat Germ Mask, huh? How'd that do? Did it make your hair feel thicker? Anyone know where one could purchase this wheat germ mask online?

Check: Beauty of New York or Round Brush Hair .com's and look under the Dominican Products Tab. You should be able to find it there.:yep:

IA: Salerm 21 B5 is a Excellent Leave-In. Haven't tried the WhG Mask by Salerm.

For that, I use Ms. Keys German D' Trigo (Wheat Germ Masque)which is also a very good WhG Mask that's Dominican.

Salerm 21 B5 is my staple leave in for my natural/relaxed hair. I *heart* this stuff. Been using it for 4-5 years now. Never tried the mask, because I try not to use isopropyl alc, but I know many love it.

It's across the street from Western Hill's mall. They have Silicon Mix, Silicon Mix with Bamboo, and Novex (Novex Keratin Conditioner is great:grin:). Again, the selection of Dominican/Brazilian products is limited, BUT there are large sizes available.

My hair is relatively thick, so I was not looking for changes in thickness w/ the mask. I was looking for slip and moisture, because my hair is like the Sahara. I found both slip and moisture. Both the consistency and color of the mask were GROSS, but my hair still looks great two days later. Plus, it's not dry, and I didn't moisturize.

I've been wanting to try that product for a while, but I've resisted. Every Dominican product I've ever tried worked well, though.

Thank you very much. I kind of know that area.
