i\'m so happy to be back!!!

i didn't realize how much i enjoyed posting to this board until i couldn't do it anymore! so after visiting other boards and being utterly disappointed, i am back! i have a new name and I have a pic in the gallery (crooked glasses and all!). check out my 2 strand twists in the gallery and let me know what you think. it's good to be home.

i'm still perfecting my routine, but i think i'm getting closer. i clarified with suave and conditioned with suave humectant (i never completely rinse my conditioner). i moisturzed with surge oil (not the revitalizer) and added some i.c. fantasia glosser to help control the frizz, which really worked. i twisted with some leftover b&s creamy set. normally my twists only last a couple of days but i've had them in for almost a week now and they don't look horrible yet! i think the silicone product made a huge difference.

how many twists do you put in your hair to achieve that look (how many on the front, sides, top, and back? do you do them on wet, damp, or dry hair? /images/graemlins/spinning.gif

i have no idea how many twists i do! i just kinda feel my way through. i've tried them on wet, damp, and dry hair with varying results. the ones in the close up pic were done on wet hair. once they dry, i have tons of shrinkage and fuzz after 2-3 days. the side shot is a twist out from wet twists, too, i think. i've twisted my hair partially airdried (i.e. damp) with so-so results. my dry twists look the best and last the longest. unfortunately, no matter which method i use, i can't get any more than 5-6 days out of them. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Swirl your hair looks great. My hair is the same as yours, no matter what method or product I use to twists they never last longer than a week.
