Because it's for horses, forgive me, but I'm scared! lol! Any tips on application? Does the brand matter? Does it change the hair texture at all? I look forward to responses before I press the "pay" button:)

Well, a lot of people think that. Someone here emailed the company and it is a product that was desgined for humans. If you search for the makers name: Shapley (or maybe Shapely) you should find it. But if I were starting over I would try naturaladys odorless MTG. MTG has an extremely strong smell. It's not the scent that bothers me as much as the strength of it. Basically it becomes your perfume. Yuck. If you put it on when wet the smell disappears when your hair dries but you can't do that everytime. Goodluck. I'm not sure how much growth I've gotten after 3 months but I'm gonna keep it up until I finish my 2 bottles.

There are sooo... many threads in this forum about MTG. If you search you will find several that offer tips about how to use, where to buy, and what to mix it with to minimize the smell. There are also many success stories and pictures to prove it.:D

Girl that’s what I thought at first so I tried the alternative MTG mix – you can find loads in the Recipe exchange forum. I tried and love my mix, I may not even bother with the horse stuff. But with all the great reviews, I don’t think you need to worry. :D

The only –ve thing ive read about MTG is about the Bacon smell and many have found ways to cover that up – Peppermint oil, Rosemary oil etc….
Try the alternative b4 buying the real stuff but im sure the alternative doesn’t compare. Also I believe someone is selling the odourless kind.
We wouldn’t stir you wrong… ;)

i found a solution that knocked the smell right out, while adding special essentials of their own.

Using a 8 oz applicator bottle (can be found at hair stores):

.50 oz rosemary essential oil
.50 oz lavendar essential oil (this overpowered the smell the most)
.20 oz ylang ylang oil
.20 oz peppermint oil
(shake it up) then add:
.50 oz Jojoba Oil (u can add ur own carrier ie. grapeseed, olive, etc)
filled the rest of the bottle wit MTG...... (the bacon smell is GONE... all i smell is the essential oils.)

from the responses ppl give about the odor.... i think ill take an essential oil smelling head any day!

hope this helps anyone:D
