Ok, I just got another mini/big chop yesterday and my split end/knot prone ends...oh yeah and TANGLE prone ends.

I need to be taught how to moisturize and seal properly! A full breakdown, like do I smooth the product on or finger comb it in? Is there a time to wait after between applying the two?

And what are your favorite products to do this. I just bought Cantu shea butter leave-in, I have every oil under the sun!

I'm ready to retain! What do I need to do!

i recommend the use of ceramides in your reggie. redken butter treat and smooth down are great poos + condishes. aubreys condishes are awesome j.a.y, gbp, hsr are on heavy rotation for me. oyin honey hemp is also popular as hemp oil has ceramides too. whatever water based moisiturizer your hair likes seal with an oil like grapeseed, sunflower, rice bran, kukui, hemp or safflower....you can get these from the health food store or from a online supplier like new direction aromatics.

I use a aqueous moisturizer, which contains, spring water, aloe juice and honey.
then I use castor oil.
I have found that using a thick oil/butter as castor helps in longer moisture retentions. I seal with castor oil, and don't hesitate to add a final layer of oil on ends especially ! :lick
