I took a hiatus from this part of the board....but I miss yall and so I am back...about 5-6 days early :D I am loving the Christianity forum though...which is where I hung out in the meantime..... (with an occassional peek in here ;) ) But now I am officially back to hang out, learn more, and post....

While I was gone...

SUCCESS!!

I BIG CHOPPED!! I did the last chop of my 16-month multi-chop transition last Monday! Whew...now learning to style my naps and keep them moisturized....naps+moisture=hard work

MASTERED Two strand twists.....YAY!! Its my fav hairstyle right now :)

NO HEAT!! I havent used any direct heat:woot:I will be completing my 6-month no heat challenge October 15th!! THIS IS A LIFE CHANGING ACCOMPLISHMENT!! I am not sure if I will use it then...but I kinda want to see my progress....health, length, etc. but the horror stories make me want to proceed with caution...
DEEP CONDITIONING!! I have DCed with every wash....YAY :yay:

FAILURES

CONSISTENCY - I have been consistently inconsistent...my regime has been all over the place...its been all good and healthy...but just inconsistent :( I always poo weekly and DC BUT I prepoo sometimes, co wash sometimes, protein sometimes, dominican products sometimes, etc.... I need to decide on a FALL regime and stick to it!

60 Day Water Vitamin - :cry2:I failed my own challenge :cry2: Life got hectic...fulltime grad school + fulltime work = failed challenge
BUT I plan to get back on it after I finish my Colonix...NO EXCUSES!

Still searching for my staple products: Qhemets, Elucence, Giovanni, Carols Daughter have been helping me along the way...but I am still not 100% satisfied...I want to try Aveda DR, Asha, and other products from above lines and revist old staples like Motions CPR...grr PJism...

Okay...thats all...I will post pictures once I find time to research and purchase a digital camera...:Flahsssss

Congrats on yr BC. I can't wait til I can say that I mastered 2 strand twists.:D I bet your hair looks gorgeous!

Congrats! Making all those changes takes time so don't be too hard on yourself. As far as the vitamins go, there is a thread on liquid vitamins, that may be easier for you. Just stick with it and be proud of what u have accomplished now. ;)

I will get some pics one of these days...I plan to start a Fotki after I get a digital camera :)

DDTex...just keep practicing...I tried three times before my twists looked presentable enough to wear out the house...LOL  On the third time it clicked...I was like wow  These look nice....I had to find what my hair liked...twisting on damp hair after airdrying to stretch using CD Hair Honey and either Qhemets Heavy Cream or CD HH Butter worked wonders...oh and small parts ;)

Natstar...thanks for the encouragement...I will check out that thread...

Lovely...I am wearing two strand twists right now...I plan to experiment with single strand twists next...my hair is about 6 inches stretched on average...if I wore it straight it would be shoulder length with layers.... I had some pre-LHCF heat damage that I had to chop off with my relaxed ends:( ...but now that I have a hair education I plan to retain all my length from now on...

I'd suggest a Canon. They're a little more expensive but deliver higher quality.

Congratulations! It certainly takes time to get your routine down, and then you'll still find things that you want to change. I'm still looking for staple products too because I'm a product junkie, but I've found products that provide me with most of what I need.
