rinse or wet your hair before getting in (with water). then wash and moisturize when you get out. or your normal routine.

I have always been told that you should put some conditioner on your hair before getting into the pool. This acts as a "filler" for your cuticles so that not as much chlorine gets to your hair.

im sorry i log out by accident Thanks everyone i was thinking of doing that but i wasn't sure

i'm a little late... but i read in glamour magazine that you should rinse your hair w/ water first. since hair can only absorb so much, it'll take in less cholorine that way. adding conditioner sounds like a good idea too.

and if you pplan to swim for a long time, you should bring some extra conditioner! if you are swimming for like 2 hours and want to stay more, then get out, rinse your hair...put osme more conditioner, and your all set again!

It might not be fashionable but I would recommend conditioner on your hair and a swim cap or conditioner on hair under a plastic cap and a swim cap

I put conditioner and olive oil on my hair before I hit the pool, then I put more conditioner on it afterwards, and shampoo asap!
