Im getting discouraged

Is there anyone on here that had to drastically cut their hair and it grew back to its original length?

I just really need to hear some positive stories, Im beginning to feel like Ill never be BSL again:-(

In 04 I cut my relaxed hair to Chin length. It grew back to SL and stayed. When I found this site it was finally able to grow back to the BSL of my childhood.

It will happen just keep taking care of it.

How did you care for it?

To get past SL I washed once a week, cw twice. I stopped combing so much. I did protective styles(wigs with braids underneath, buns, phoney pony), straightened maybe once a month.

Also when I came here my hair was dyed white in the front. So I had to combat that dryness. I moisturized each day. When I finally made it a little bit past SL I started CW everyday/every other and poo once a week. That took my moisture to another level and in turn helped with retention.
