I am looking at all these threads and yall makn me wanna but stuff... and this ain't like lil things... im talkin i want that FHI runway for 400 bucks and that Pibbs Dryer (well i have wanted this for awhile)

ANYWAY, i vow that i will NOT buy another flat iron after i get my Sedu until i am MBL AND I AM AT MY GOAL WEIGHT OF 150LBS.

Im sick of yall invoking the spirits of purchase! I will fight back damnit!

hmmmm I avoided buying new products for about a year so now I'm enjoying being a PJ again. How else will I find out what my hair likes LOL
 
I'm with you. I will not but a croc 2 or a tourmaline blow dryer until I am shoulder length and have lost 30 lbs. I never thought about tying my pjism in with my lifestyle goals. Thanks for the idea.
 
I'll cheer you on and workout along side ya cuz I need to reach my goal weight too BUUUUUT buying a new product IS a treat for me.

I'm with you! Even though I'm not really a PJ anymore...hehe. There was a couple of months where I was just buying up a bunch of oils and conditioners and rollers and such and now, for the past few months I have literally only used two products. What really stopped my short burst of PJism in its tracks was an article on thenaturalhaven blogspot that talked about how all conditioners basically contain the same ingredients. Also, someone on LHCF said that you can keep buying and buying and buying products in the hopes of finding that HG product, but it never ends and there is no perfect product.

Those two things sort of just woke me up.

So true. I stopped being a product junkie a long long time ago.. the products are the problem. I guess you can call me a "tool" junkie now? I will buy a flat iron, blow dryer, comb , comb attachment, rollers ..ect .. in a heart beat! Only cuz i want to try them out and then they get old so this is my attempt to curb it

Ahh, I see. "Tool" junkie. That's a different story...lol. I totally still have those urges! I just want every kind of roller and pretty hair-thing there is! Err...good luck with that one.
 
I'm already not allowed to buy another flat iron until I'm WL which might happen by the end of the year... My DH doesn't believe that I will be able to hold off though
 
My budding PJism caused me to lose 3 inches, because I suffered a protein overload.
SO I am cured.
I am buying a split ender this month. but other wise when ever I see a thread about a product, I just go sit down somewhere.

I got my products that my hair likes so I am cured

Well... I just purchased 40 dollars worth of hair nail and skin items. I need to curb this addiction. I will treat myself to a hair product/accessory for every ten lbs that I lose. So when I lose the first 10 lbs, I would like to treat myself with some 2 hair accessories (instead of food).And when I lose the second 10 lbs, I would like to purchase something with Jamaican Black Castor oil or Moroccan Oil (I have never used these oils before).

I better get to exercising :weird:

ETA: Nooooo, I just can't do it! Must... buy... more... Sally's gave me a 5 dollar off coupon and it's somewhere in this apartment. I must find it and use it to buy... hair... care... products!

I curbed mine. I think I had to go through it to find my regimen. I am on a simple plan now and I have tried so many things. I know what works for me and I am keeping it simple. I no longer feel the need to try everything on the market or everything suggested.

^^lol. I've gotten a lot better about buying stuff. Now I just kind of drool and if the itch is and enough purchase :look: I think I'm going to buy some stuff to make my own organic products and after that i'm finished! As far as tools, I have a list of things to buy when my hair is long enough maybe I haven't gotten better :dizzy:
 
My PJISM has been curved tremendously,I only restock my staples.
I still have enough products to last 2 years so I can shop my own stash.
I can now go to any Bss without going crazy over new products.
When you find whats works for your hair you will evently stop buying products you dont need.

I just had my first round up of my hair products and I have soooooo many products... luckily i have some friends who are natural so i'm gonna mosey some of these products off on them... lol :yep:
But like you said im gonna have to curve this product junkieism!!!!!


buuuuut......i really do wanna get a tangle teezer..lmao...:grin: then I'm done I SWEAR!!
