And I'm nervous. Here's what I'll be doing based on the advice that I've seen on this board.

Pray that I don't mess this up!

Spray my previously texlaxed hair with silk protien and cover it with conditioner.

Base my scalp with vaseline.

Add olive oil to my relaxer (silk Elements mild lye) to slow it down.

Divide my hair into 6 sections and texlax the coarsest sections first.

Leave the relaxer on until I have "S" shaped curls

Rinse, condition with Motions CPR, rinse, neutralize a few times, letting the shampoo sit on my head for a a few minutes.

Deep condition

Moisturize and airdry.

PLEASE Let me know if I am missing anything important here!

Good luck, you'll do just fine :yep:

Just don't forget to smooth through each section gently to avoid underprocessing in some areas (don't smooth too much or some parts will straighten more). Let us know how it turns out!!

I would relax in sections (2 in front 1 in back) because I am VERY slow with the application. You make a part ear to ear and the back is 1 section. Then you part the section in front in two and use a shower cap to protect the sections from getting wet when you rinse it out.
Away from that you do exactly what I do

GOOD LUCK!

Where do you get your silk protein?

I'm going to self texlax this weekend.

I had a friend do it last time and my hair was really under processed in the thickest area in the back.

The only thing I did from your list was use the vaseline :nono: & neutralized.

I am eyeballin' your list!
