oh yeah lol im so all over the place umm im 17 turning 18 in august so its not like im old and saggy now but i just like the way straight hair looks i like curly hair too but i dont like short hair and my hair looks short curly.i want to grow my hair and i am not willing to do ugly protective styles on natural hair im torn

Not all protective styles are ugly...you could just jazz them up a bit and I bet they would be really cute!

And about the curly hair=short hair thing, it may seem that way now but in the future when your hair is longer it wont be short and curly, it will be long and curly, and you might be able to find a product for your hair that helps elongate the curls...:yep:

So you are saying you want to relax your hair because you want it to look long all the time?..:look: either way it will be a sacrifice, protective styling until it is longer, or relaxing and no longer having curly hair...:scratchch

You're not a traitor! As long as your hair is healthy thats what matters...That being said:
I think you have enough doubt to wait for a little while...Never make a HUGE decision based on emotions. It never ends the way you want it..... You went natural for a reason. If you don't want to leave the natural lifestyle then why do it? Once you feel like there is nothing in being natural that benefits you or your hair then relax it...if not...enjoy your beautiful hair and your life....

I go through this feeling. Since I'm not thinking positively about natural hair, I feel like a traitor. Plus with all the BCS I've done.:ohwell::blush: I am trying a lot of things first before relaxing. I just felt like I was letting the LHCF family down by changing to relaxed hair. I have a lot of education ahead of me. Threads like this help me to see that I'm not alone and it makes me feel so much better.:yep:
