is the shorter or "slower growing" side of your hair the side that you sleep on?

no, no matter what side i sleep on my left side grows like a weed while my right side just grows slower.

There is always about half an inch difference between the two.

The side I sleep on is the side that's not as lush or long as the other. I try to sleep on my right side but no matter what I always end up on the left.

I would be the odd woman out. The side I sleep on is much healthier and longer than the one I don't.

Mine used to be that way until I started:

  • sleeping on my stomach more
  • rolling my hair on a nightly basis
  • pin curling
  • covering my hair with a scarf and a bonnet every night
Once I started doing these things, the right side began to flourish and both sides are equally healthy.

I sleep on my left side and my stomach. My left side is the longest....always have been. My right side is beginning to catch up since I've been moisturizing my hair more though.

This is me as well. I sleep on my right side and that side looks full and healthy as compared to my left side. I see at least an inch difference in length. Then I was always trimming the right side to make it even with the left. I just give up and let it do what it do.

My right side is longer and was thicker but now my left side is thicker. I try to alternate b/w both sides. When I go to sleep, I start on the right side, then in the middle of the night after I go use the bathroom, I will sleep on the left side. I'm trying for both sides to catch up if that makes any sense.

I literally just cut off a little more than an inch on my right side, maybe an inch and a half. By literally, I mean less than an hour ago.

I'm still really traumatized. That side was past apl. :cry3:

I sleep on my right side and it's much long and thicker, only because of my Aug 09 setback that has left me with 4-5 inches of hair on the left and 14 (a little below apl) on the right) My left side used to be the bomb and I hated the right side now the tables have turned but the good thing is I still sleep on my right side so hopefully the left can hurry up and catch up!

Great question...my anatomical right side is the side that grows slower but I don't favor either side when I sleep...
