If you have crown breakage the Dominican salon is not your friend.

Anyone else agree with this? I leave the Dominican salon with plenty of bounce and softness but I have to walk out with my head down for I am so embarrassed on the breakage pieces sticking up on top.. When I get home I can blend it in so well and wrap it and you would never know. However, I can't wait for the day I can leave the salon looking as good as the other ladies without breakage layers :(

I think that some dominican salons actually cause that breakage...I know that was the case for one of my friends. The high heat from the dominican blowouts were causing her to have broken pieces in her crown.

That's why I only get my roots blow when they are really wavy... it irritates me when I see girls getting their roots blow right after a relaxer, there's really no need ... its already STRAIGHT! Now don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of the Dominican salons, but I think you have to let them use the "blower" in moderation!

I do agree, not just crown breakage. Breakage all around. My first and last visit to the Dominican salon was rough, I'm extremely tenderheaded...they washed my hair with nails in my scalp...the rollerset girl was beyond rough, combing with a fine tooth comb from root to tip, ripping out my hair...after my roller set dried and the other young lady said I need a trim....I was so frustrated at that point at losing so much hair, that I said what the hell ever since they had already ripped out so much of my hair. :censored: I really wanted to see how long my hair was before the cut, but I think that would have traumatized me even more to see how long it really was (when wet it was mid back at the nape alone :fistshake:)!!! Don't get me wrong, the end result was nice, but the end did not justify the means....so much breakage, crown, front, everywhere....stray hairs all over the place when I rollerset...I stick to doing my hair myself like I have been. As odd as it sounds, my hair to me felt so short to me. for weeks I was shedding hairs....sorry to rant...but they can be so rough trying to get everyone one in and out like a drive-thru burger joint:ohwell:

my result pics are below.
