For the first year and a half, my regimen was similar to Eisani's. ^^^
Then I switched to weekly rollersets. Sometimes 2x a week.
Started out stretching 12 weeks. Gradually increased it from 14 wks, 16 wks.
Have stretched up to 6 mths, twice. I am currently half-way thru my third 6-mth stretch.
My most successful regimen:
Weeks 1-12, rollerset once or twice weekly.
Weeks 12-24, airdry, flat-iron every two weeks.
. I am switching from a daily co-washing bun regimen to a weekly rollersetting regimen for the winter. I don't want any setbacks since co-washing worked so well for me.
Muffinz!! I love your texture, girl!! Your hair is so purty and wavy.

I see most of you do the kiss thing and a lot of PS, I always though long haired girls would wear it out all the time......erplexed
That's because they're trying to get even longer. If you are satisfied once you get to your goal length, then you can stop or dramatically reduce protective styling because you can afford to trim off as much as you grow each month if it gets damaged.I see most of you do the kiss thing and a lot of PS, I always though long haired girls would wear it out all the time......erplexed
Please share how you reached this length and your reggie. I am slightly beyond bsl but I am stuck there! Please help! Also share if you bun on a regular basis as well...
I lost my job last October so I couldn't splurge like I had been when I first joined
Although, I have a great job NOW, I still choose to keep it simple because my hair is growing nicely without all the extras. Anywho, I wash my hear with shampoo and deep condition once a week, rotating between a moisturizing conditioner and light protein conditioner, baggy ends and that's it. I use BT occassionally now but I use to use BT faithfully. Oh, and I conditioner wash, once or twice a week. I'm going to start back taking my viviscal but other than that....that's it
and my hair is growing nicely
Gosh all I see is co wash co wash co wash. I haven't found a single conditioner that I can co wash with. i'm scared to use cheapies.
Thanks for this thread it's very inspiring. I like the idea of bunning.

.Why are you scarred of using cheapies?
I find cheapies good, don't have to dilute them and I could careless if most of the product runs down the shower drain - which it does
Using cheapies has gotten me from SL to where I am now. So you can use me as a testimonial if you want, if it helps.
You just need to find the right one that works good for you.
You can add additional kitchen ingredients to them if you want, which I do every now and then.

I'm scared of the ingredients in cheapies. Can you suggest any? I've been looking for suave and Vo5 milks all over London I still haven't found any.
I will use you as inspiration for sure.
I did try a pre poo with pantene mixed with bananas honey and olive oil but it left my hair hard. the latter products never do that so it had to be the cheapie.
Once I transition from braids to hair out. I will definitely consider co washing.
Thanks for replying to my post
