If my hair had a voice this is what it would say to me :

"1) Water...Wah...ter!!!
2) Keep your hands away
3) No more harsh shampoos!!! Condition wash
4) I hate the smell, but bring on that apple cider vinegar
5) No heat, no chemicals Puh-leaze (Chemicals and heat may be fine for others; but they are hair poison for me )
6) Exercise, exercise
7) Please eat more fruits and veggies
8) Rinse daily; condition often
9) No grease
10) Don't believe the hype: Thanks for loving me just the way I am....
11)Your hair is not a mistake; just a crown you've let tarnished; a gift you've taken too long to unwrap.
12) Thank goodness for the women on nappturality and LHCF!

Oooh and PS: Be patient, be non-judgemental and above all: Have fun. It's really just hair (albeit with a lot of baggage)."

Other days my hair would say "Ok now I gotta break it to you Barney style since you don't understand. That knot won't get loose nicely if you keep tuggin and pullin with that comb - ouch - never mind."

But lately I'd probably hear "NOW you're getting it. Keep drinking that water, I was feeling dry as a Dorito up in here. Don't you DARE go and sleep without moisturising me first then have the nerve to complain about how dry I'm feelin'. I've been a bit harsh but man I've nearly lost patience cos you had no patience. But now you're lookin' after a sista and now it's all good. But must you insist on showing my off in this cold weather? I know I'm looking good, but dang...find a nice silky scarf or somethin..."
