...........I Cant Take It No MORE !!!!!...

Im so sick of this damaged hair....I dont know what to do.
Im running my hands through it and its just breaking off (the relaxed part)
From years of self relaxing and overlapping....its had it

I wanna BC so bad but I only have about 1.5 inches on new growth...

I dont wanna make DH upset ....he thinks I should transition a little longer...I kind of agree....I have such a round face....Im gonna look like a ball...

I dont know what to do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......

Please dont do something you may regret afterwards. If your plan was to wait a little longer then wait. It not.....go for it and make it work for you. :)

I never really planned a date...because I knew that when that day came I would end up finding an excuse to not do it..

I think I should do it soon...because if I dont ...I might not do it at all..
Every style Ive had short and long...ive been able to work it out...

hmmm.....1 second close.

It sounds like it's time for corn rows, braids, twists or a wig.

But you probably need to do some kind of lite protein treatment first.

It is inevitable to have breakage when transitioning, but judging from the way your hair seems to be breaking, I'm wondering how gentle/harsh you are handling your hair.

What do you do to detangle and what style are you wearing daily?

BTW- there's nothing wrong with BC'ing, but it is a shock to the system.

I detangle in the shower while loaded with conditioner...
My style lately has been pulled back and pinned up...I dont redo it unless its a mess...

Edit:....Oh yeah...Ive experienced something like a BC ...
I had gotten my hair cut ....grew it out...got braids...got into a bad fight with some crazy chick...she pulled out a lot of my braids....had to cut it off really short..about 2 inches of hair left...and I loved it. but of course it was relaxed

A BC can be really liberating but you have to be ready for that. I think you should think about if you are ready to rock a really short cut. If not take a deep breath and relax. Write down what your hair goal is and go for from there. You will be ok.

Can you hide it under an instant weave or braids for a few months longer before you BC?

I thought about that...but money has been an issue lately because of some Tax issues..

DH mentioned his sister to do it for me but ...shes not to hip to healthy hair habits....right along with my bestfriends and sister who does hair.

Okay.....Im gonna wait...maybe 3 more months..

until then...im gonna try some apoghee ...to see if it stops the breaking...
if not...Im chopping....I think I maybe able to handle it.

Good I'm glad you took a second to think about it. Give your hair some TLC today. Try rollersetting it if you can...rollersets do wonders.

Check your products. Just because the bottle says moisturizing doesn't mean it is doing a darn thing for YOUR hair. Are you happy with your products (shampoo, conditioner, moisturizers, etc.)?

I love my stuff!! Especially silicon mix. I clarify then immediately condition with it. It adds moisture to my hair.

Maybe protein is not what you need. Don't assume that breakage is always due to lack of protein. Maybe your hair is dry from lack of moisture.

Silicion Mix... like $4.99 for 8 ounces or something. Not exactly sure b/c now I buy the big bottles (60 ounces for $19)...in NY. It is not at Sallys but at BSS. If you can't get it, I recommend Silk Elements megasilk moisturizing conditioner (not the luxury one). SE is at Sallys.

Oh, and give yourself time. I always say an anorexic child never gets fat from one mcmeal. Don't expect a miracle overnight.

Well I might be the wrong person to give advice, since I just BC'd myself. I was almost talked out of it, but I am one of those people that when I get a strong feeling to do something, I just go for it and don't look back. Hair is always going to grow back if you take care of it. Alot of the women on this board said they wished they would have bc'd it sooner. Because you are going to have to work with it short sooner or later, unless you wait a year or so to get it shoulder length or longer natural. But do want is in your heart. I know I couldn't spend another dime on some product that was going to make my hair act right. Before I had cut it, I was in the beauty supply store trying to find something, or I was going to buy some different size rods. I have some many products and rollers and rods it is ridiculous. I decided to start from scratch and work with less products and tools as much as possible. It feels good to just put some oil and moisturize in it, brush it and go! Good luck on whatever you decided to do!

well deep conditioning can help...i bc myself...but..xDestinedx you look really familar..i think we went to school with each other..ie middle school..ill send u a pm..wow..small world..ttyl HHG..

You know....I would just cut it. I think short natural hair that is healthy is a much better luck than hair that is snapping and breaking. Just my opinion. I think you'd feel better.
