salon brands don't make a commercially prepared hot oil treatment. I am a big fan of these and would love it if say Kenra or Nexxus made one. Nature's Therapy and ION (both from Sally's) are my favorites--I always keep them on hand.

Do any of you love commercially prepped hot oils? I know Zanna likes the one by Proclaim. It's pretty good too.

Phyto makes a Hydrating Oil Treatment and a few of the Dominican/Spanish brands do as well. I think Salerm makes one and if they don't, the Alfa di Parf (sp?) people definitely do.

You can buy them seperately or by the box.

The one by Phyto is great. However, it is expensive. I used it a few times and my hair was so moisturized and it has a lemon scent. If it were more economical, I would use this one or a regular basis.

Wow, that one by Phyto looks great but they are so wrong for making it $24 for 1.7 oz. That would last me one and a half times.

I love my hair, but... Oh, I might splurge one day

What about Nexxus? I thought Botanic Oil could be used as a daily hairdress and hot oil treatment? Or did I make that up?

You know products like the Botanic Oils and Keracare's essential oils say that they can be used as hot oil treatments, but they don't have the same effect as those products that are specifically made to be hot oil treatments and only hot oil treatments. The one's by Keracare and Nexxus are a mixture of pure oils whereas the others are oils mixed with conditioning agents that soften and penetrate the hair as well as offer some detangling benefits.

Allandra, do you still use the NT Mega Moisture conditioner?

[/ QUOTE ]
Yeap, I sure do (just used it yesterday).

I've used the Phytonectar Oil Treatment (different than the one previously mentioned but the same price) and have had fantastic results. I've never used another product that has made such a difference on my hair. Plus it rinses out easily which is a big plus for me. Its expensive but lasted a while for me (super concentrated). I didn't heat it up before using. By far the best oil I've ever tried.

I use the NTM hotoil treatments and it is wonderful I think its 2 for $6.99 and you get 2 uses with one tube.
I always buy it when it on sale for $3.99.
The combo of NTM shampoo, hot oil and daily conditioner is great my hair feels double moisturzied.
