 Well I started using MTG yesterday, and I was fine with it, as a matter of fact my hair was nice and soft and the smell I thought to myself was not "to bad".......
All of that changed after I left my house to go to work. All I have to say is MTG and rainy, humid weather are not a good combination. That smell began to radiate from my head like crazy as soon as I walked out of the door and the humidity hit it. After I got to my job it was not too bad because the air conditioner is always on. But Lord help me, I was running really late at the end of the day and had to run like crazy to catch my bus home. So now, not only is it humid, but I am sweating like mad. The bus was sticky inside and ladies I wanted to DIE    !!! The smell was crazy, a cross between barbque and almost like an eggy smell.
The little asian man who got on the bus at the same time as I did started squeezing up his nose and said "Something smell. It no good." Well all I could do was nod my head and agree with him. I tried not move my head again until that damn 45 minute bus ride of torture was over. Now what I want to know is how am I going to make it through this summer and still use MTG???

Sorry to hear that this happened to you. Did you put it on at night? I have found that if I put it on the night before, the smell is almost gone by morning.

  :lachen:   :lachen:    I wear a wig so I don't smell it. I mix it with other stuff and I only apply it to my scalp.

Sorry that happened to you! Maybe you could use less and put some peppermint or rosemary on top or something? Hopefully that won't make it smell worse.

Do like PrettyKinks said and put it on at night and maybe tie your hair down with a cotton handkerchief. That should soak up some of the oil so it won't smell too much.

I did put it on at night and the smell did subside a bit. But as soon as the moisture hit it and the longer I was in that thick humid air, it was all over. Maybe I will use just a very tiny amount on my scalp next time.

Say wha?
I agree with trying Peppermint, maybe even Cinnamon...
How about only using it when drying hair.
-HTH :look:

I'm sorry that happened to you. Try using mango butter and surge after u use mtg. I've done this, and the smell is gone. Don't give up. You have our support.

Where do you buy rosemary oil? What does it smell like? I need something to cut the smell of Wild growth Oil.

I am not sure, I've never looked in Sally's; I just know that the local shops have them... (Almost like the mom & pop BSS)...
