I cannot find this stuff! Is there another moisturizer that I can use that will be as effective? I have looked at Sally's and local BSS in town and I can't find it! I really don't want to have to order anything off of the internet. Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Sally's didn't have it? I see it in all kinds of BSS around here, and they even sell it at CVS locally. It should look like this:

Personally, I loved the smell of it, but it didn't do a thing for my hair.:ohwell:

would you recommend another moisturizer?

Uhhh, anything, 'cuz Mango Butter did nada for me. It made my hair drier, in fact.:perplexed

I use Qhemet Biologics Sidr Tree Butter Balm & Africa's Best Carrot Oil Cream as my daily moisturizers.

You're looking for a thick moisturizer?? Mango Butter is thick as heck!!

Seriously check out Wal-mart...

I also use Silk Elements Leave in, and another from the Cantu line (in the huge jar), and some ORS carrot oil, but these are lighter in consistency, and don't leave the hair as stiff if you apply too much.

Thicker of the 3 I mentioned would prolly be the ORS carrot oil.

HTH

nope, no cvs here. i will check wal-mart again and sally's. i have just been reading so many good things about the mango butter that i wanted to give it a shot. but if i cannot find it, then i will need to use something else. especially for my kids' hair as i am not baggying it, or DCing it or pre-pooing it, etc...

I'm trying to just use mine up and get rid of it b/c it isn't doing anything for my hair. For protein, I'm sticking with Profective Megagrowth. It's easier to find anyway, atleast where I live. It's at Walgreens, Walmart, and my local BSS.
