I really want to try silken seal for my roller sets, but it cost so much.

Is there a cheaper version or a comparable product?

i can never find it on Ebay they always got the spray, and other keracare products though

BTW, I loves Orlando Bloom in those pics

Well the silken shine spray is a little cheaper. ($14) It's pretty good too. I bought some at Penny's once.

The serum I've found to resemble KeraCare Silken Seal (not the spray one) is Smooth ‘N Shine Instant Repair Hair Polisher. It is very thick. My hair loves it.

My back up would be the Loreal Vive Smooth Intense anti frizz serum. Works great! It has some of the same ingredients as the silken seal.

KeraCare Silken Seal:

Ingredients:
Cycolomethicone
Dimethicone

Smooth ‘N Shine Instant Repair Hair Polisher:

Ingredients:
Cyclomethicone
Dimethicone
Phenyl Trimethicone
Panthenol
Silk Amino Acids
Fragrance Parfum

Yes I would think something thicker would be even better Angel.

How about Fantasia IC corrective response complex....I can't find the ingredients list but it is made of 'cones like silken seal.

Yes Karly, this is a comparable product. I've used the Fantasia IC and the Silken Seal and they give similar results.

Keracare Silken Seal really is the best serum on wet hair. It completely prevents frizzy ends when air drying. I'm convinced there's something else in it besides Dimethicone and Cyclomethicone. Most other serums have these silicones, but Silken Seal really out performs them when it comes to usage on wet hair. Maybe Keracare uses higher quality silicones or something. Anyway, I think it's worth it. It's very concentrated, so you don't need to use as much as you would other serums.

I prefer Biosilk Silk Therapy. I tried the Silken Seal and it is a good product, but the Silk Therapy works better on my hair. I paid $12 for a small bottle.
