I didn't fall in love with this product. I used black orchid. I'm not feeling the application process, it was just tooo messy for my taste

The color is aight, but I think I will stick to either hennalucent or loving care going forward.

I felt the same way. It came out way too easy and didn't really do much to justify the $27 I paid for it. I am now trying Adore and I LOVE it. It's much cheaper I'm using darkest brown in Adore and it does the trick for me. I use it to cover my gray. I also use paprika to add a little color to my hair.

Sorry it never worked out for you.

What type of colour (semi-perm/perm) is the Loving Care, is that made by Clairol?

Loving Care is a semi by Clairol. And yes, Crystal for the $25 I paid, I expected fireworks.

Wow $25 for a semi-perm color

and you didn't like it? I'd be really disappointed if I were you too, Caramela, especially for something that costs that much.

I used Colourshines twice. I liked the shine that it imparted in my hair, but I wasn't crazy about the color. I forget which color I used - something in the brown family - but it made my hair jet black! I agree that the application process is a bit messy, but the color and shine lasted pretty long.

In my opinion, the shine is no better than hennalucent which is waaaaaaaayyyyy cheaper!

Sorry to hear that it didnt work for you. I used Redissimo and love it, my hair is really shiny and vibrant.

I don't know if you did this but, it would be less messy if you put it in a tint bottle and section your hair in 4, then apply it.

Clairol Tetures&Tones (semipermi) is also good.

Does this contain ammonia and/or peroxide?

It doest have any peroxide or ammonia in it. It's a Black hair color line.

Oh, I always stayed away from this because I thought it was permanent color. Can it be used right after a touch up or do you have to wait a week or so after to use it? Thanks

Texture's and Tones has a Semi and it also has a permenant so be careful which one you use. The permenant does NOT have ammonia but it's a permenant nonetheless.

I wonder if the shade you used was Coffee Bean... my girlfriend who has jet black hair loves that shade.

Ok. I went to 4 bs stores this afternoon. Every box of Textures and Tones I picked up said permanent color. And I checked every color in each store. Does the semi color have a different box or something? I can't find it.

It's not in a box, it just comes in a regular little bottle with the pointy applicator top. The bottle is a bronze color with a black top.

AJamericanDiva, I think you're right! The Colourshines shade I used was Coffee Bean. No brown tints or tinges at all, just black black black all over. Caramela mentioned that the shine from Hennalucent is just as good and it's much cheaper. Whenever I come out of braids, I'll use the Hennalucent box that's in my closet.

Ok. Now, since you gave me that info, I can do my Secret Sam mission thing

and pick it up. Thanks!
