I think this is helping with my breakage

So, you all have heard me belly-aching about my breakage and shedding since I texlaxed. I think I have found a few things that are making a difference.

1. I started shampooing and conditioning in twists. I wet it, then twist it into 4 sections. Take down to shampoo, then condition. I rinse the conditioner and comb out in sections and retwist.

2. Combing hair in its natural direction. I wear my hair back in a ponytail all the time. I think this is a major contributor to my breakage. When I was combing my hair in the shower, I was coming it straight back. I, now, comb the sides to the sides, the back to the back, and the front to the front.

I'm losing a lot less hair this way.

Congrats! I think I'm going to try your technique next time I wash!

Did you ever get the breakage to slow down after your last relaxer? I just relaxed... Did something similar to yourself, used protein afterwards.... :nono: I was having breakage too, so I'm going to stick to moisturizing DCs after relaxers from now on.
