I think Maxi Glide's teeth may not be such a good idea for ends?

I'm sitting her thinkin about it....(Yes, ends are on my mind) and those grippers can't be good for end?

can they?

what are ur opinions?

I do not like the teeth. Even when I press the plates together very lightly and gently, the plate with the teeth pulled strands of hair out. I only use the flat plates now.

I only use the flat plates. I'd rather have less straight hair than have breaking pieces of hair all over the place.

oohhh nooo! I ONLY use the flat plates. Those teeth took some strands out the first and LAST time I used it.

I've had a few hairs come out, but no more than I usually lose when I'm detangling. I detangle each section with a fine tooth comb so that it goes through smoother. My teeth stay :D

Gotta question for the maxiglide users here. If the teeth rip the hair out, then do the flat plates work better than, say, a chi or solia?

I only use the teeth. I love the teeth:-)
I glide it over my hair and when I get to my ends I stop, let go then go back directly to ends and add a burst of steam which softens it then I go
over them 2 times very softly w/o really pressing down. Never a broken hair piece.

I've only used mine twice, and both times I used the teeth. I don't know how to put the flat plates on. I think I need a screwdriver. My mom did mine the second time on Sunday, and I did lose quite a few hairs from snagging once it got to the end of my natural hair, which I have a hard time blowdrying straight.

U press the two buttons at the end of the teeth plate, slide it out while u are pressing the buttons, then slide the flat one right in.

I only use the teeth with mine. I make sure that each section of hair is brushed before I flat iron it. I also think the "glide" in Maxiglade is important. Don't squeeze very hard.
